Tim Tebow Is A Fake Christian, A Hypocrite and A Disgusting Example of Christian Public Prayer

Tim Tebow has the money to afford any and all means of demonstrating his faith (or lack thereof through his actions.)  He can sponsor commercials, sponser the building of churches, fund missions to the needy and those not yet saved.

But, instead, he bows his knee in public for no reason at all.  God could just as well hear him while he was standing quietly concentrating on his personal time with God; rather than that he seeks to promote his faith in all manner of ways offensive to God.

He has the public exposure to make himself famous through attending Church, making public endorsements for Christian causes he supports and finds worthy; rather than that though he chooses to prostrate himself before crowds of thousands of football fans who will remember his stats long after these public displays when he should be instead, in Church, prostrating himself before God, praying with other Christians in God's house, and privately in his own home.

Read What God Has Instructed His People

Numbers one, three and four of the Ten Commandments:

And God spoke all these words, saying: “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
  1. You shall have no other gods before me.  Football is quite clearly the god which Tim Tebow has placed before the true God he professes to honor and serve.  Had he proper respect for this commandment he would realize that going to a football game on the sabbath day clearly demonstrates this lesser "god" he honors the most.  Too bad God couldn't accommodate Mr. Tebow by making the Sabbath Day Wednesday, the only day that the sports networks don't seem to have locked up with a professional football game.

  2. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.  Praying to God before a football game, over one's performance before a game and asking God to assist in any way in the outcome over the game is possibly the most gratuitous use of God's name in vain I can think of.

  3. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.  Again, too bad God couldn't accommodate Mr. Tebow by making the Sabbath Day Wednesday, the only day that the sports networks don't seem to have locked up with a professional football game.

Read The Following On What God Has Said and Jesus Demonstrated By His Actions Regarding this disgusting practice of the right-wing "Christians" who are all too ready to talk the talk but not walk the walk.

Tim Tebow's disgusting theatrics are clearly not the actions of a Christian.  But, it goes over well with the right-wing crowd.  And as they say, even bad publicity is better than no publicity at all.

Nothing could be clearer than the following verses:

Matthew 6:5 - 7

5. And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites [are]: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Jesus says you must definitely not pray as the hypocrites pray.

6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen [do]: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

Here Jesus says when thou prayest, you must pray this way:
(1) enter into thy closet.
(2) shut the door.
(3) pray to thy Father which is in secret.
(4) use not vain repetitions.

(Prayer must be in private, not in front of other people.
Do not repeat things over and over again in prayer)

An attribute of a true Christian is: He only prays in private, never in public.

Matthew 14:23

23 And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.

Matthew 26:36

36. Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.

Mark 1:35

35 And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.

Mark 6:46

46 And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray.

Luke 5:16

16 And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.

Luke 9:18

18. And it came to pass, as he was alone praying, his disciples were with him: and he asked them, saying, Whom say the people that I am?

Luke 22:45

45 And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow,

(Jesus prayed alone, as he said people should -- not in public)

  1. Jesus worked miracles on the Sabbath, shouldn't be a problem playing a football game.

  3. I have found all christians to be hyprocrites and fake including the people that don't use the right words from the bible.
All people who work on the sabbath including the old man picking up sticks should be put to death exactly like it is written in the bible

  5. Great article...Football alone is so sinful on so many levels. Watching others get CTE with depression from playing football and getting pleasure from others people's pain and suffering is horrific. Football alone is evil and anyone playing, promoting it, watching it, etc., does not know Jesus.
