Dallas Morning News - Letters to the Editor - What Readers Are Saying - These People are Crazy as Hell

What readers are saying:

Although I like Herman Cain and I think he certainly has demonstrated his conservative bona fides, it is also evident that he lacks a full depth of knowledge on foreign affairs required for a US president. That lack of knowledge became clear during some of the gotcha question sessions that have passed for debates as of late. That and his current low ranking in the Republican field is the only reason that I think Mr. Cain should consider a withdrawal.
Everett Eunday, Georgetown
Dear Everett, It's only a "gotcha" question when the respondent, through his responses, demonstrates he or she has no idea of that upon which he speaks.

For Herman, who told his first lie way back when he said he had no idea if there had been a settlement in the complaint filed against him and if there was he hoped is was a small one, now to  claim to have been completely truthful is a pile of crap so high, the likes of it has never before seen on the campaign trail.

Mr. Cain is like a hand-puppet.  The only way he could intelligently answer questions relevant to his qualifications to be President would be for Cal Thomas to shove his hand up Cain's butt to make his mouth work.

Who cares if he leaves the race? If voters do not think he is worthy, they will let that be known. Marital fidelity is not listed as one of the constitutional requirements for Qualification for office. Nor is good moral character, Intelligence or many other desirable qualities. Put the information, factual information, out there and let voters decide.
Carl WIlkins, Dallas

Dear Carl, I care.  I want this lying, bumbling buffoon to remain in the race all the way to the Republican convention.  Watching him humiliate is wife and family on the national stage is sad it's true, but the moral corruptness of the Republican Party is demonstrated by the fact that they themselves have not jettisoned him like tea thrown over-board into Boston harbor during the first and only real Tea Party.
Cain is already irrelevant.
Kate Dungan, Waxahachie

Dear Kate, He is not totally irrelevant.  His bumbling ineptitude and complete unpreparedness for the office of the President, as recorded on video, will forever be used as teaching tools for late-night comedy writers and SNL's Weekend Update.  He is solid proof that anyone can grow with the dream of becoming the President of the United States, only to discover that it is a nightmare for them and the country when they are insufficiently informed, trained, and educated to perform te duties required.
I am simply amazed by the almost daily adventures of Herman Cain. When Bill Clinton was President,he faced a constant barrage of allegations. He denied them just like Mr.Cain. Monica Lewinski proved otherwise. I honestly believe Mr. Cain might suffer the same fate. The best thing Mr. Cain can do is to come clean.Every day his campaign is sinking like the Titanic. As the old saying goes,if you tell the truth, you don't have to memorize a lie!
Ronald Paris, McKinney
Dear Ronald, Amen, brother.  Alternately, as Hitler was fond of saying "if you are going to tell a lie, tell a really, really big lie.
Herman Cain needs to withdraw. No exceptions. The Liberials have done everything to stop him.
Bob Martin, Troup, Texas
Dear Bob, go back to your village, they want their idiot back.  "The Liberals have done everything" you say?  Mr. Cain lied about his knowledge of the settlement reached by the NRA and himself from the beginning and he continues to lie about it today.  He opened his mouth, his zipper, his checkbook and the bank acount of the National Restaurant Association to and for women not his wife.  Now he humiliates his wife and family further by refusing to leave the national stage with any semblance of grace.  Bob, what in the world would possess you to write a letter that so absolutely confirms your willful ignorance of the facts.

His campaign has gone through one hurdle after another. It is like watching a soap opera unfold on a daily bases. It is possibly time for him step aside and focuses on his family.
Katherine Aguilar, Mesquite
Dear Katherine, exactly my thoughts.  Watching him put his wife and family through this version of Hillary Clinton's "stand by your man" moment is sad to see.

We need to be careful what kind of moral qualities we require in our political leaders. If we insist on an teetotaler vegetarian with no apparent sexual misconduct, we get Hitler. People screw up. Sometimes men think with what's in their pants instead of what's under their hat. What I'm interested in is how he plans to run the country.
Dan Miga, Dallas/Vickery Meadows

Dear Dan, your thought processes in writing this piece of apologist crap makes me pray you do not live near any of the the schools recently built in Vickery Meadows.  According to your line of reasoning, you would molest a child while thinking with what's in your pants, and then tell us well I have great plans for running something or other.  By the way, evidence suggests that Hitler's descent into madness, his hatred of Jews, and his eventual suicide were the end results of "having thought with what was in his pants" early in his life and having had sex with a Jewish prostitute who gave him syphilis.  Can we hope for as much from you?
Cain is being treated worse than Clinton ever was and the evidence to support Clinton's mistreatment of women was well-documented, whereas Cain's are unsubstantiated allegations. Media's treatment of Cain is worse because he is a conservative and is an African American. The double standard of the media towards conservatives could not be starker.
Dennis Croysdale, McKinney
Dear Dennis, take a few moments away from reading your KKK manual and The Journal of the Flat Earth Society, put down that possum leg you've been nibbling on and take a look at how ridiculously opposing your statements are. I guess you got the memo about not saying "liberal media" because folks just don't swallow that cheap swill anymore but you're confused as to what to say instead.  So, you just say media, which according to you is now 100 percent anti-conservative and anti-African American.  Which is it you idiot?  You can't have the conservative media like Fox News pushing Herman Cain and have them be anti-African American at the same time.  My apologies, I guess in your paranoid, disillusion "why is everyone always picking on me" world you can.  Go back to taking you medications before you embarrass yourself further.

Honestly, dear reader, some of the people are the cretinous, inbred, hate-filled, degenerate children of the bigoted Southern, backwoods, road-kill eating, treacherous leaders of Texas that brought us the Kennedy assassinations.
