The U.S. - Naked Emporer

 Here we are in the United States, dissatisfied, angry, split along partisan lines, all of us innocent but all of us to blame for the fact that our emperor walks the streets naked and unashamed for either our unearned superiority or our shamelessly shifting the blame.

Go ahead, snicker at the reports of Greece's over-sized debt and the problems it's causing all of us.  It is true, the Greek economy is smaller than that of any one of the United State's 20 largest metropolitan areas.   Smile and laugh at Italy's La Dolce Vita as she primps her national treasures like Puta's for sale on the street.


Our time is yet to come, but not so far down the path that we can't see it coming.


We are the United States.  We are so big we can not fail.  It is to us who run the economically afraid to the point that we can practically sell our own debt to the bankrupt.


Rather than clothe our own naked emperor we would rather strip Greece, Italy, Portugal and then Spain  so their citizens don't have the unmitigated gall to tell us we are leading this naked parade.



Our economy dwarfs these economic nobodies.  But so does our debt and our future obligations.  Yet, we choose not to lead by example and put our own house in order, but rather follow along and watch for what will fail rather than look for that which will succeed.


Oh my god, these Europeans, so dissolute and spoiled.  We will stand by and watch, and, then after the fact tell you what you did wrong.  Then by damned you'll see the depth and meaning of the American way and our eternal increases in worker productivity.

Here we are in the land of plenty to the point of excess.  We earned you will say.  Wrong I will retort, you borrowed it at the expense of your inheritance. 

If this pisses your off dear reader just wait for my next blog wherein I will lay blame on the generations who brought and then will leave us stranded here in economic ruin.
