The "Tea Party Has Ended" Part 2

In my previous post I predicted several events.  Events that reflect the growing disenchantment of the nation with the Republican Party in general, and the Tea Party in particular.

This is not good news for the fractured base of likely Republican voters.  Even in those districts where the Tea Party elected their candidate of choice, voters have grown ever less enchanted with their extremism when compromise is what is called for.  You may read either a summary of the polls or read the full report at the following article which summarizes the overall growing unpopularity of the Republican Party - Even In Tea Party Strongholds.

In a previous commentary "Herman Cain and the EEOC Complaint"  I told you why you could decide early on that Herman Cain was and is a liar and why he would never, under any circumstances become the Republican nominee.  Now, I give myself and you the obligatory "I told you so."  To read in detail about the derailment of the "Cain Train" you can do so here.

In many previous commentaries I have referred to the Republican Party as fascist in nature on many levels.  The most important of these being the message from the party to the electorate that the party knows best and not to be distracted by any misgivings they may be having based on what they are seeing, reading and hearing about in public debates and the news media.

Here is an example, which I quote verbatim from it's source.

Steve Grubbs, the chairman of the Cain campaign in Iowa, urged supporters on Tuesday to not be distracted by the allegations and to press ahead with their effort for the Iowa caucuses.
“I believe in Herman Cain and his ideas. We need to get back on message and make it to the Iowa caucuses,” said Mr. Grubbs, who was on the conference call. “My request is that you don’t let anyone pick your candidate based on these allegations.”

Really Mr. Grubbs?  Who is this "anyone" trying to pick your [the Iowa voters] candidate based on these allegations?  I believe you mean to say the good people of Iowa should be like the three monkeys who see nothing, hear nothing and say nothing when something comes up that is in direct opposition to what you are telling them they should see, hear and say.  Rather authoritarian don't you think?  Something along the lines of propaganda isn't it?  In my opinion you mistake the people of Iowa as being idiots and probably feel the same about most of the people in every state.

Unfortunately for the Republican Party, while the U.S. electorate may be a fractious bunch when it comes to which issues drive their opinion, they are also a contrary bunch of independent minded folk who will respond to what is seen, heard and said by anyone and everyone they choose and not just some authoritarian, nationalistic, right-wing and intolerant voice from above.

Read it directly folks, straight off the line, first entry in the responses to a Google search for the phrase "definition of fascism"

fas·cism/ˈfaSHizəm/
